Brendan’s Bridge was established some 30 years ago, founded by Brendan Harrod and we are delighted to be named in his honour.
As an independent registered charity (charity no: 1010582), Brendan’s Bridge has developed in recent years, post Covid-19, to support the most vulnerable and marginalised people in our communities.
We provide a wrap-around service encompassing mental health support for all ages and youth work for young people 12 to 24 years old.
We work with a wide range of partners from alternative provision educational facilities such as Gloucester and Forest Alternative Provision School and Bridge Training Ltd to Social Care teams, the NHS Integrated Care team and mainstream schools.
We also work in the very heart of some of our most socio-economically disadvantaged communities. We provide mental health one to one support as well as drop in sessions. We run detached youth work as well as mentoring. And we work with neighbourhood policing teams to reach disengaged young people, helping to rebuild their relationships with statutory services to access support to meet their needs.
Based at City Works in the heart of Gloucester, we are centrally located but deliver a large portion of our work in the places and spaces where people need us most.
