Tariq Simms has joined our team and will be applying his knowledge from his Business Studies course to our charity.
Tariq, who lives in Gloucester and is familiar with the Barton and Tredworth community, will be helping with social media and marketing when he comes to Brendan’s Bridge once a week until Spring 2022.
During his time with the charity he will receive social media training from a local professional, meet influencers in the community as well as in his chosen field of work and he’ll help us to keep our social media channels filled with our news and photos.
He joined a group of young people who are currently working with us to put together a social media strategy and he also met with the High Sheriff of Gloucestershire Jane Tufnell – all in the first week!
Tariq says: “I wanted to experience new things and learn about how a charity runs as a business. I had heard a lot of good things about Brendan’s Bridge and I look forward to finding out how they support young people and their local communities as well as how the charity works.”
